Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will contribute to cutting-edge scientific research in molecular biology, cell biology, and biotechnology. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects involving tissue culture, DNA isolation, and advanced bioinformatics, supporting the development of new therapies and scientific discoveries. The Research Associate will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to execute experiments, analyze data, and contribute to publications and presentations.
Duties
- Perform tissue culture of mammalian cells, including maintenance, transfection, and cell line development
- Conduct DNA isolation, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and other molecular biology assays
- Utilize flow cytometry for cell analysis and sorting
- Execute assays related to biochemistry and cell biology to support research objectives
- Apply bioinformatics tools such as R and Python for data analysis and interpretation
- Maintain detailed laboratory records in compliance with CGMP standards
- Prepare samples for next-generation sequencing and analyze sequencing data
- Assist in the design and optimization of experiments involving transfection, cell culture, and molecular techniques
- Support laboratory operations by maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, or related field
- Proven laboratory experience with tissue culture, DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and flow cytometry
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools such as R and Python for data analysis
- Knowledge of mammalian cell culture techniques including transfection and cell line maintenance
- Experience working within CGMP environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques including assays for gene expression and protein analysis
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Prior experience in research settings involving next-generation sequencing or quantum engineering is advantageous but not required
