Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dermatologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of skin, hair, and nail conditions, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. The Dermatologist will play a vital role in diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide spectrum of dermatological conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review and physical examinations focused on dermatological health.
- Diagnose and treat various skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin infections, and skin cancers utilizing advanced medical imaging and diagnostic radiology techniques.
- Perform dermatological procedures including biopsies, suturing, cryotherapy, laser treatments, and botulinum toxin injections for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating the latest evidence-based practices and emerging therapies in dermatology.
- Collaborate with other specialists such as endocrinologists, oncologists, and plastic surgeons to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to advance dermatological science and improve treatment modalities.
- Educate patients on skin health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and lifestyle modifications through health coaching sessions.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Dermatology from an accredited program.
- Proven experience in outpatient dermatology practice with familiarity in medical office procedures and patient service excellence.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of dermatological conditions alongside skills in medical imaging interpretation relevant to skin assessments.
- Experience performing dermatological interventions including suturing, laser therapy, and botulinum toxin treatment.
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology techniques such as CT scans when evaluating complex skin-related cases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their conditions and treatment options.
