We are seeking an individual for a hybrid role our Research and Development and Bioinformatics departments to aid in the characterization of our current pipeline therapies and to help development of our AI infrastructure. This position provides an opportunity to participate in multiple stages of individual projects and to provide significant contribution to company’s objectives. As a research associate you will aid advancing our preclinical and clinical-stage assets by conducting proof of concept experiments and scale-up activities. As a bioinformatist, you will help design and deploy informatics solutions that enable HLA-driven cord blood unit (CBU) donor selection using population coverage model, HLA-driven donor recipient matching, cell utilization/restocking biobank model, data integrity in cGMP manufacturing, and evidence generation in early clinical trials.
EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· B.S. degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, or Bioinformatics
· 2+ year experience in biotech/biopharma industry (preferably in area of cell and gene therapy). In some cases, significant academic research may substitute for industry experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and statistics software
· Start-up experience is strongly preferred

LABORATORY SKILLS:
· Solid foundation in primary cell culture, ideally human stem or progenitor cells that are challenging to maintain (primary job responsibility)
· Support the optimization of ex vivo HSPC cell culture and expansion
· Culture and maintain cell lines and primary cells, for cell-based assays. Extensive experience with immune cells is a required
· Proficiency in the isolation and characterization of blood cell subpopulations employing cytometry and additional methods for immune cell analysis
· Implement complex cellular assays (flow cytometry, lymphocyte quantification, T cell stimulation, etc.)
· Hands-on expertise with diverse immunoassays (MSD, ELISA, Luminex, and beads-based assays) is highly desirable.
· Hands on expertise with in vitro functional assay development is desired, such as T cells / PBMC stimulation and co-culture assays.
· Experience with multiparametric flow cytometry is a plus
· Deep understanding of HLA biology preferred
BIOINFORMATICS RESPONSIBILITIES
· Translational & Clinical Data Integration
Develop and oversee data pipelines linking donor selection, HLA bioinformatics, and clinical outcome data.
Support clinical operations by integrating EDC/CTMS systems for early-phase trials.
Create data visualization tools and dashboards to support scientific, manufacturing, and regulatory decision-making.
· Bioinformatics & Analytics Leadership
Lead analysis and interpretation of genomics, immunogenetics, and cell characterization data.
Build and refine donor-recipient matching algorithms using HLA and immunogenicity data.
Apply machine learning and predictive modeling to enhance product consistency and patient matching.
Pay: $25.39 - $30.58 per hour
