Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Genomicist located in Boston, MA. The Human Genomicist will be responsible for analyzing genomic data, interpreting multi-omics datasets, lead the interpretation and integration of human genetic data into the company’s Knowledge Graph and Digital Twin platform. This role ensures that gene–disease relationships, variant effects, and population-level considerations are represented accurately and responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate and validate gene–disease and variant–phenotype associations
- Interpret WGS/WES data, including SNVs, indels, CNVs, and structural variants
- Incorporate inheritance patterns, penetrance, and expressivity into data models
- Address ancestry bias and population genetics considerations
- Support polygenic risk modeling with appropriate clinical constraints
- Collaborate with Clinical Genetics, Ontology, and Data Engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field is strongly preferred
- 5+ years experience working with large-scale human genomic datasets
- Experience in precision medicine or drug discovery is a plus
- Knowledge of ethical and regulatory considerations in genomic research
Core Skills & Tools
- Expertise in genomic analysis, bioinformatics, and multi-omics interpretation
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or other bioinformatics tools
- Familiarity with techniques in machine learning, deep learning, and data integration
- Strong background in statistical analysis and computational biology
- Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills
- Variant annotation and interpretation pipelines
- Familiarity with gnomAD, ClinVar, GWAS Catalog
