About Us:
Carolina BioOncology Institute (CBOI) is a privately owned, cutting-edge Phase I clinical research site dedicated to advancing cancer care through innovative clinical trials. As a nationally recognized center for early-phase oncology research, we provide patients with access to novel therapies in a highly personalized and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and oversight to patients participating in Phase I clinical trials
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical research coordinators, and other team members to ensure protocol adherence and patient safety
- Administer investigational and standard-of-care medications per protocol and institutional guidelines
- Conduct clinical assessments, vital signs, and documentation of adverse events and clinical outcomes
- Perform phlebotomy, IV insertion, port access, and specimen handling according to study requirements
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete source documentation and patient records
- Educate patients and families about study protocols, medications, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (required)
- 2+ years of experience in oncology nursing and/or clinical research (preferred)
- Experience with early-phase clinical trials and investigational drug protocols (a plus)
- Comfort with infusions and patient monitoring
- BLS certification (required or willing to obtain)
- High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
