We are a manufacturing company in Wheeling, IL looking for a hands-on Lab Technician perform work that involves analyzing chemical raw materials to determine conformance to specifications using chemistry techniques. This is a 1st shift position with 7am starting time.
RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Shows proficiency in wet chemistry techniques including, but not limited to: pH, viscosity, conductivity, concentration/density, FT-IR, index of refraction, water content, surface tension and acid value/base number.
- Skilled at using computer to store and analyze data with a variety of software programs.
- Maintains all related equipment according to procedures.
- Completes quality documents and keep organized records of these documents.
- Performs routine hazardous waste management activities.
- Adheres to Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
- Exhibits consistent productivity while adhering to ISO 9000 quality procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience
Experience with wet chemistry
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
