Lexington Health is seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologists to support our expanding Heart & Vascular services within the Lexington Health Physician Network. Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality diagnostic and occasional therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver developmentally appropriate care to patients across the lifespan, including bariatric and cardiac populations.
- Coordinate daily workflow by scheduling exams, preparing imaging rooms, and managing radiopharmaceutical orders.
- Calculate, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals and IV injections with accuracy and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Assess and prepare patients for procedures, review medical histories, and document all relevant clinical information.
- Operate Nuclear Medicine imaging systems and evaluate image quality to ensure optimal diagnostic value.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment to support efficient daily operations.
- Perform routine equipment quality control and manage radioactive materials in compliance with DHEC regulations.
- Respond to patient emergencies using appropriate first‑aid measures and established protocols.
- Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, radiation safety, and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Support departmental operations by performing additional duties as assigned, including participation in emergency response activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or eligibility for certification
- South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (RQSA) license
