Job Summary
Perform a variety of micro tests according to USP <60>, <61>, and <62>. Evaluate and analyze incoming, in process and finished productsto ensure they meet specifications and standards. Work in a fast-paced environment following OTC and medical device regulations as found in 21CFR 210, 211, and 820
Duties
1. Accuratly conduct a variety of tests - microbial enumeration, objectionable orgamism testing, environmental monitoring, and waste water testing. Record results and maintain documentation as required following cGMP requirements. Take appropriate action when non-compliance is determined.
2. Perform neutralizer suitabiliy on new formulations.
3. Conduct a variety of stability tests to support accelerated temperature and long term room temperature stability programs. Assure accurate performance of tests and data reporting.
4. Perform Growth promotion on new lots of media received in.
5. Perform inventory on the micro lab supplies.
6. Appropriatly react to evidence of a quality problem. Communicate observations on non-compliance to cGMPs or procedure to manager.
7. Accuratley maintain lab equipment. Assure proper mainenance, operation checks and calibrations are performed as needed. Ensure calibrations are checked.
8. Assure records are accuratley completed, and calculations are checked.
9. Assure compliance with all processes and procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requires two tear associates degree in science with at least two years of work experiance in quality control microbiological lab, in a regulated industry such as food, cosmetics or drug manufacturing. Or a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or microbiology. Knowledge of basic FDA GMP requirements is a plus. Basic knowledge and skills sufficiant to amnipulate and use Microsoft and other software including work processing, spreadsheets, emails, internet.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
