Key Qualifications:
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required
- Valid and active state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
- Comprehensive knowledge of radiation therapy techniques, safety procedures, and medical terminology
- Proficient in the operation of LINAC and other radiation therapy systems
- Compassionate communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy
- Prior experience in a hospital or oncology center is highly desirable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer safe and effective radiation therapy treatments based on physician directives and patient-specific care plans
- Accurately set up and position patients for daily radiation sessions while ensuring comfort and safety
- Monitor patient responses and document treatment progress, reporting any concerns to the clinical team
- Maintain and calibrate radiation therapy equipment according to safety regulations and quality assurance standards
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, expected outcomes, and supportive care
- Collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient management
