Akron General understands that keeping up with nutritional needs is essential to staying well. As a Nutrition Assistant, you willbe responsible forassistingpatients with their meal selections based on their approved dietary ordersover the phone,within a call center environment.You willintake calls from patients for breakfast,lunchanddinner as well asverify and enter orders into our dietary menu system. Maintaining communication between care units and patientsregardingnutrition and dietetics to ensure mealaccuracyis extremelyimportantin this role.Your efforts can leave a positive impression on patients and their families every day.
Acaregiver in this position worksdaysfrom6:00AM – 2:30PM, including every other weekend and holiday.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Run tray tickets for meal service, compare diet lists with tray tickets, adjust tray tickets, notechangesand verify with a Registered Dietitian if necessary.
Provide excellent service to others by monitoring computer messages, following through on all requests, notifying theappropriate caregivers, answering the phone, following up onmessagesand acting to remedy complaints.
