Position Title: Scientist I

Description:

Plurexa LLC, a biotechnology company (http://www.plurexa.com), is seeking a highly qualified Scientist to lead projects to identify, test, and develop human experimental platforms and small molecule therapeutics for kidney disease, an area of great unmet biomedical need. The Scientist will work under the supervision of experienced lead scientists and executives, and will collaborate with academic and industry partners. S/he will enjoy significant independence and flexibility to conduct research with human pluripotent stem cells and derived organoids. This is a 12-month, full-time position with the title of Scientist I. Partial work from home will be permitted. The earliest anticipated start date is April 1, 2026.

S/he will design and evaluate experiments, actively contribute to the group through innovation, present and publish research findings, and participate in collaborative discussions with partnering groups in academia or industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of creativity and scientific excellence, a high level of motivation and scientific curiosity along with excellent communication, collaboration, and technical skills. Qualifications

Required Education: PhD in cell biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, or a related field.

Required Experience: at least one year of relevant work experience.

Previous experience with iPS cells, high throughput screening, bioinformatics, or CRO work would be valuable for this position.
