Pulmonologist – Job Description (Reno, NV)
We’re looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonologist to join a growing, patient-first practice in Reno, Nevada. This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of respiratory and sleep-related conditions while delivering a high-touch, relationship-driven patient experience.
Pulmonologists specialize in diseases of the lungs and respiratory system—including conditions like COPD, asthma, lung disease, and sleep-disordered breathing—and play a key role in improving long-term patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
At its core, this is about owning the patient journey—from first consult through long-term care.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions
- Interpret diagnostic testing (PFTs, sleep studies, imaging, etc.)
- Develop personalized treatment plans, including medication, PAP therapy, and lifestyle interventions
- Perform and/or oversee procedures such as bronchoscopy and other pulmonary diagnostics
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (RTs, sleep techs, primary care, cardiology, etc.)
- Provide education to patients on disease management and prevention
- Manage patients with sleep-disordered breathing, including obstructive sleep apnea
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development

- Obstructive and central sleep apnea
- COPD and chronic bronchitis
- Asthma management
- Interstitial lung disease
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Lung cancer screening and coordination
- Post-COVID or chronic respiratory syndromes
- Critical care
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
- Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine (Critical Care optional)
- Active or eligible Nevada medical license
- Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
- Interest in building long-term patient relationships and outcomes
