Responsibilities
- Conduct molecular biology assays including PCR, ELISA, Western blot, and RNA extraction to support research and clinical diagnostics.
- Perform sample preparation techniques such as cell culture, chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry analyses with precision and adherence to protocols.
- Manage laboratory information using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to ensure accurate data recording and tracking of samples.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and CGMP guidelines to ensure sample integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize bioinformatics tools, R, Python, and other software for data analysis related to genomics, epidemiology, or biochemistry projects.
- Support assay development, validation, and troubleshooting for clinical trials or research studies involving microbiology, cell biology, or molecular techniques.
- Operate high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), spectroscopy instruments, microscopes, and other specialized lab equipment with care.
Requirements
- Proven laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, RNA extraction, or chromatography.
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory procedures including aseptic technique and working within GLP or CGMP environments.
- Strong knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology, cell culture methods, and bioinformatics applications relevant to biomedical research.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to perform detailed scientific research involving assays in epidemiology or clinical trial settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with meticulous attention to detail in wet chemistry or spectroscopy analyses.
- Effective communication skills for documenting procedures and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
