Job Description
Bwiz is seeking a motivated and organized Associate Scientist II to support oncology drug discovery research. This role focuses on in vitro biology, stable cell model generation, and molecular biology techniques while delivering reliable and reproducible data.
The Associate Scientist II will work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team under the guidance of a supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and analyze experiments to support project objectives.
- Generate, characterize, and cryopreserve stable cell lines.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adapt protocols as needed.
- Interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and design follow-up experiments.
- Follow company safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Required:
- MS in Biology or related field, or BS with 5+ years of laboratory experience.
- Strong experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
- Background in cancer biology or functional genomics.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing and lab automation.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
