Shift: Stretch of 4 – 10 hour days

Position Summary

A Laboratory Technician is responsible for critical laboratory procedures in the production of veterinary products.
Perform cell culture processes and aseptic techniques throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Operate laboratory equipment and maintain compliance with GMP and SOP requirements.
Support production activities including media preparation, inoculation, and vaccine filling.

Responsibilities

Perform procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, antigen inoculation and harvest, tissue culture preparation and harvest, filling vaccines.
Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, and documentation.
Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks.
Clean work areas and prepare, clean, and sterilize glassware and equipment.
Perform equipment setup and operation.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Adhere to safety and company policies.
Perform duties assigned by department supervision.
Work with embryonic eggs for virus propagation.
Handle hazardous materials including Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Phenolic Disinfectants, and Oxidizers.
